Fleece Pocket Warmers
These pocket warmers are crazy easy to make. All you need are some fleece fabric scraps and a bag of rice.
- Cut out pairs of fleece shapes – hearts are cute for girls, but plain old rectangles fit nicely in the hand. My hearts are 4″ across the widest part, and the rectangles measure 3.5″ X 4.5″
- Machine sew around the edges, about 1/4″ in. Leave a space of about 1″ open to allow for filling.
- Pour rice into each bag, using a funnel. I found that anywhere between 1/3 to 1/2 cup did the job.
- Sew up the opening, making sure you overstitch previous stitching.
Then when you want warm hands, microwave these for 30 seconds on high and stick them in your pockets. They stay warm for up to one hour!
