Knit Double-Loop Scarves
A scarf that can be worn multiple ways: a long single loop, a mid-length double loop, or a warm and fuzzy triple loop for those cold winter days.
This is the ultra-simple scarf I made for every friend I knew last winter. I can generally finish one in an evening. It is nothing more than back-and-forth knitting, no pattern, with a skein of yarn that must have at least 100 yds. in it. I look for nubby and cuddly yarns, often variegated colors – I am not particular about the fiber. I use anywhere from size 11 to 15 needles.
I cast on 17 stitches at the beginning, and then stitch the ends together when I run out of yarn. Simple as that!
